Walking-Seminar 3 / Plateau Flachau. A thousand traces in the Capitalocene
DAY 3 (Sat 27.1.24, 12pm, Alter Dorfplatz Flachau) with Judith Laister
The Walking Seminar "Plateau Flachau. A thousand traces in the Capitalocene" is dedicated to selected projects that have been realised as part of the minus20degree festival since its first edition in 2012. We visit significant locations and ask about the planetary and local traces that the projects follow and that they did, could or should leave behind. Particular attention will be paid to artistic commentaries on the relationship between humans and natures against the backdrop of the Capitalocene concept.

Wander-Seminar 3 / Plateau Flachau. Tausend Spuren im Kapitalozän
TAG 3 (Sam 27.1.24, 12:00, Alter Dorfplatz Flachau) mit Judith Laister
Das Wander-Seminar „Plateau Flachau. Tausend Spuren im Kapitalozän“ widmet sich ausgewählten Projekten, die im Rahmen des Festivals minus20degree seit seiner ersten Auflage im Jahr 2012 umgesetzt wurden. Wir besuchen signifikante Schauplätze und fragen nach den planetaren wie lokalen Spuren, welche die Projekte verfolgen und die sie hinterlassen haben, könnten oder sollten. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit gilt dabei den künstlerischen Kommentaren zum Verhältnis zwischen Menschen und Naturen vor dem Hintergrund der Denkfigur des Kapitalozän.

Judith Laister
ENG Judith Laister (AT) studied European Ethnology, Art History, and Visual Education. Since autumn of 2015 she has been researching and teaching at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and European Ethnology at the University of Graz. Before that, she worked at various national and international research institutions, such as TU Hamburg-Harburg, IFK Vienna, Goldsmiths College London or TU Graz. She has also worked in schools and art education and is involved in non-university projects and committees in the artistic and cultural-political field.
DE Judith Laister (AT) studierte Europäische Ethnologie, Kunstgeschichte und Bildnerische Erziehung. Seit Herbst 2015 forscht und lehrt sie am Institut für Kulturanthropologie und Europäische Ethnologie der Universität Graz. Davor war sie an verschiedenen nationalen und internationalen Forschungsstätten tätig, wie der TU Hamburg-Harburg, dem IFK Wien, dem Goldsmiths College London oder der TU Graz. Außerdem arbeitete sie in Schule und Kunstvermittlung und engagiert sich außeruniversitär in Projekten und Gremien des künstlerischen und kulturpolitischen Feldes.
