Drei Lieder für die Autobahn - Collectief Walden (NL/HU)

Drei Lieder für die Autobahn is a performance in a heated installation. Especially for Flachau, Collectief Walden has developed a song cycle of nostalgia, hospitality, and warmth in the village since the arrival of the Autobahn. For the libretto, residents that are older than the A10 were interviewed, who know the village from before and after the arrival of the Autobahn.

God of Heat Loss – Ever since humanity lost most of its body hair, we are constantly looking for warmth. In clothes. In houses. In wood fire and central heating systems. We have now become so good at generating heat that we use a hundred times as much energy as the first humans. The earth is at our feet. Collectief Walden creates the altar for a new cult in which heat is continuously generated and released into the atmosphere. A ritual invoking the God of heat loss, who must liberate us from redundancy.

Collectief Walden is an artists' collective consisting of a biologist, a philosopher, an actor, a dramatist and a producer. They create performances, installations, and visual works at the intersection of science and art.
