The Sentinels features portraits pupils of the Sportmittelschule Altenmarkt. Their moving portraits are projected one after the other on the snow. They are the future of the region, they stand, resist, scream in silence. Standing on the edge of adolescence, they look for the imaginative tools to shape the world to come.
Anouk Chambaz (CH/IT), born in Lausanne in 1993, is a filmmaker and artist who explores the poetics and politics of moving images. Her work revolves around the deep observation of figures of otherness and processes of metamorphosis. She examines the intricate connections between life forms and the ever-changing geological and social landscapes they inhabit, while also exploring the memories, speculations and utopias that surround them.

Die WächterInnen zeigt Porträts von SchülerInnen der Sportmittelschule Altenmarkt. Ihre bewegten Porträts werden nacheinander auf den Schnee projiziert. Sie sind die Zukunft der Region, leisten Widerstand, schreien in der Stille. Am Rande ihrer Adoleszenz stehend, blicken sie in eine Welt der Unsicherheit und suchen nach den imaginären Werkzeugen, um die kommende Welt zu gestalten.
Anouk Chambaz (CH/IT), 1993 in Lausanne geboren, ist eine Filmemacherin und Künstlerin, die sich mit der Poetik und Politik des bewegten Bildes beschäftigt. Ihre Arbeit dreht sich um die tiefe Beobachtung von Figuren des Andersseins und um Prozesse der Metamorphose. Sie erforscht die komplizierten Verbindungen zwischen diesen Lebensformen und den sich ständig verändernden geologischen und sozialen Landschaften, in denen sie leben, und untersucht gleichzeitig die Erinnerungen, Spekulationen und Utopien, die sie umgeben.
